seems like your insurance should cover it except for co payments or deductibles.
wish you the best of luck with it.
are you sure you need surgery?
there's been alot of bro's across the boards for the last few years that had gyno problems and stuck it out with some arimidex, bromocriptine and other meds and came out well.
wish you the best of luck with it.

IN MY LIMITED EXPERIENCE WITH THIS, "MOST" INSURANCE COMPANIES AREN'T "READY" TO JUST PAY FOR THIS, HE DOESN'T HAVE CANCER, AND IS NOT ILL, THIS IS CONSIDERED A "COSMETIC" PROCEDURE, AND YOU HAVE TO JUMP THROUGH SOME "HOOPS" SO TO SPEAK AND LIE A LIL, AND DO WHAT YOU GOTTA, BUT SOME INSURANCE COMPANIES WILL EVENTUALLY PAY HALF IF NOT ALL OF IT...
BUT NO, YOUR REGUALR INSURANCE DOES NOT COVER COSMETIC SURGERY WHICH THIS IS CONSIDERED, ITS LIKE LIPO OR ANY OTHER PROCEDURE, THEY AREN'T GOING TO BE "GUNG-HO" ON PAYING FOR IT...
PERHAPS SOMEONE WITH MORE EXPERIENCE COULD ELABORATE ON HOW TO GET THE INSURANCE COMPANY TO PAY FOR SOME IF NOT ALL, I DON NOT KNOW THAT ANSWER, BUT I DO KNOW THEY WILL CONSIDER IT COSMETIC AT FIRST...

you need to go to your general doctor first, and tell him that you have suffered with gyno problems since you were a young boy. tell him that your nipples are so sensitve and "painfull that you can not sleep at night and that it is effecting your "way of life". tell him that it is causing problems at work etc. due to the lack of sleep and pain. if you have big lumps you must tell him how worried you are that it could be breast cancer because you have family history of breast cancer, just make up some names, but be careful if the doctor starts to dig for more info about this generally he will not. he will refer you to a plastic surgeon and then you should be covered by your insurance 100% for the surgery. let me know how it goes. hope this helps. it has worked for 3 friends of mine.

Should I mention to my regular doctor about my steroid diet? And should I tell him I think it is gyno?

FUCK NO!!!
take the advice the bro just gave above.
[family history, and so forth]
what's your definition of gyno, that is so bad you need surgery? you may not need it. Get a second opinion.
If your just dealing with a small lump you could do a little therapy probably without surgery.
How about some arimedex. Look up arimedex and research it.

DO NOT MENTION STERIODS, YOU WILL FUCK YOURSELF IF YOU EVEN HINT AT HAVING USED THEM. TALK ONLY ABOUT FAMILY HISTORY OF BREAST CANCER AND CHILDHOOD PROBLEMS WITH GYNO.

IF I WHERE YOU BRO, I WOULD DO EXACTLY AS SUGGESTED ABOVE...
TELL HIM THE STORY ABOVE ABOUT HAVING SOFT LARGE SENSITIVE NIPPLES SINCE PUBERTY ETC. TELL HIM IT IS EFFECTING YOUR PSYCHOLOGICAL STATE AND WORSE YET ITS MAKING IT HARD TO WEAR ANYTHING BUT LOOSE SHIRTS AND YOU HAVE TO SLEEP ON YOUR BACK ETC..
BE CREATIVE WITH IT...
GO FROM THERE///
THAT SHOULD WORK TO GET SOME INSURANCE ASSISTANCE AS THE DOC WILL RECCOMEND EITHER THERAPY OR SURGERY ON IT...
THATS GREAT ADVICE BRO, I WOULD FOLLOW IT...

why are you guys saying not to tell the doctor? my dr asked me and i told him flat out, i had lil boobies from when i was a teen then got bigger with aas use. He didnt give a crap, whats he gonna do. I would rather be totally honest with the guy who is cutting me open on what i am/have taken. I paid cash $4200 so blowing insurance coverage wasnt an issue for me either
