alright, anyways ill give the story because its a good story, this guy wanted to talk to my girl, when my girl turned him down, he started talking smack about me and then her, so obviously im going to get involved, when i talked to him, he thought he was tough, and threatened to go after my brother, and disrespected my fathers memory which is a big no no, so anyways he didnt want to meet me, he said he was going to get me jumped, so anways last night (tonight i guess), i had one of my boys find out where he is, so i went there, and he didnt want to go outside to meet me, so one of his buddies thought he was tough and wanted to protect his friend, which personally i liked before this, so anyways hes trying to get in my face, and im not going to pussy down to anyone, anyways his girl tried to get him back inside, and he was backing down, and so was i because i figured i wasnt going to fight the other kid tonight, but outta no where in a yelling match the kid hit my in the face, which was honestly a good shot and a good job because i didnt expect it, and he got a couple good shots on my face before i was able to get in close and take it to the ground where i had the upper hand and returned the favor before i got pulled off by my guys, but my side of my face is swollen worse then ive ever had it, he got me in the temple, and i feel like the guy from the goonies or the elephant man lol, so ive taken, asprin, ibprofin, tylenol, and some codeine, and iced as long as i could handle it before it killed too bad haha, well anyways i cant go out like this, my life and job kind of need me to look professional and im not seeing a big difference in the swelling i didnt know if anyone had any tricks of the trade lol, well anyways thanks, id take a pic but its my face lol

there is an old term, but not sure how it applies to the face....RICE, rest, ice, compression, and elevation. try to keep your head above the rest of your body(ie not laying down flat). use lots of ice and compression. i would stick to ibuprofen brand of your choice as that targets muscles where tylenol does not.
THIS SHOULD WORK FOR YOU WITH TIME. I ONCE HIT A GUY CLOSE TO THE SAME PLACE IF NOT THE SAME PLACE AND HE WAS FINE IN A DAY OR TWO. BRO IS DID SWELL UP LIKE HELL THOUGH...QUICK TOO. DIDN'T EVEN HIT THE GUY HARD EITHER. GOOD LUCK!

true that haha, but whatever, i took care of him the other day, i made sure he knew this was a fair fight, and made sure he remembered it. lol, but anyways, incase anyone wants to know what to do to get rid of bruising fast, ice first 72 hours, then heat for the remaining, combined with use of Vitaman K lotion , also i took Vitamin C and Vitamin E i heard that could help, dont know if it did, im looking good now, so why not use it if it happens.

Yeah the aspirin was a no no because it stops the clotting of blood...therefore more bruising. Time is the best thing now. Rotating heat and cold will improve blood flow to the area which will carry away the bruising and reabsorb the fluids decreasing the swelling. Prevention is the key...don't get hit. Good luck and keep that guard up!

I guess it's a bit late to tell you now, but you should have got yourself some arnica cream (I hear there are pills too) - that shit has always worked wonders for fixing swelling and bruising in my experience. A lot of boxers use it.
