Sorry to hear about your situation bro...Thats why I only have one person who I compelety trust to train with & spot me..I know it is hard to find someone you can train & relate with but until you find that partner, training by yourself could be more dangerous as you increase in your load when you train. I wish you the best of luck bro..

sorry bro, i was taking the chance to check out your GF, but if i see it next time ill see if i cant break away from the stares to get over to ya.

Seriously that is terrible, if i have someone in my gym pushing serious weights im always right there to spot them if needed. but in my gym its not how you look, but how you work out.

I ALWAYS train with a partner. i dont feel as confident, i would say to go extra heavy alone. well one day and of course, it was bench day. my partner calls and says he got caught up on something and couldnt make it. so i wanted to go heavy so i tell myself to just do my normal work out and ask some of the stronger guys in the gym for a spot when i need one. so i am on the incline press and i got 405lbs. on it and i ask the strongest guy in the gym to give me a lift off. so this dickhead lifts the bar about 1-2 inches away from the rack posts and lets it go. i felt both of my rotator cuffs pull and i felt pain go all the way down (or should i say up) to my fingertips on both arms. i racked the weight and i wanted to beat the shit out of him. but i honestly felt that it was my fault for asking the dumb bastard in the first place.

Bro, you want a tip, the next time you get stuck and the bar is on youre chest. leave it there until someone walks close to you and then dump the weights to one side, but be ready for it to shoot back the other way!, stand up and tell everyone thank you for the spot and walk away. that will get someones attention

damn that's tough!

i was inclined to do just that...slam the weights down and make people jump..the dumb bastards...but didnt really want to cause a ruccous in the gym and i wasnt in any trouble so i just was silent about it..now had it been serious weight and i was makin some real noise in pain i'd a fuckin swung at the first 2-3 fuckers in my general vacinity for being neglagent

crack a couple teeth so they can have something new to see in the mirror next time smile.gif or not see

I saw this in my gym today. This guy was supposedly spotting his partner & this fucker was just looking around while his partner was lifting, not even realizing that his partner was getting tired in his reps. Well I'm watching the whole thing thinking this guy's partner is about to eat his last rep. Then it happened he got stuck & this fucker is still looking around checking out the chicks on the stairmaster not even noticing that his partner was in trouble. I went over & help lifted the weight off this guy. Of course the guy that was suppose to spot finally realize what was going on by the time I went over there to help..That just really pisses me off when I see shit like that!! WHAT A IDIOT!! Its people like that, that needs find a different hobbie..

When I used to use free weights at my house and I couldn't bench 150lbs, I had to call my mom in to throw weight plates off the bar onto the floor. Mothers are the best smile.gif
