Hey bros,

I am on cycle at week 5. Doing 400mg/week EQ + 750mg/week Test EN.

The first 3 weeks I have also taken VAR at 75mg/day, then suspended because of acne.
Last week I have added Proviron 50mg/day to avoid bloating.

I went to the doctor last week to get blod work done, and today I have got the results.
Everything looks fine, blod pressure, liver enzyms, etc. but the cholesterol profile is severely impacted.

I have lost 26 point on HDL. I have got 14 and it should be between 40 and 59!
My doctor wants to check it again in 6 or 8 weeks. He doesn't know that I am taking AAS.

Now I dont know what to do. Here are my questions?

1) Shall I tell the doctor that I am taking AAS?
That could be a bad idea because here (in Germany) they are very restrictive on that.
He is gonna say "stop immediately, and dont do it again!"

2) Can I keep on doing my cycle (next week i was supposed to add some Parabolan)?
I could move my next visit to the doctor when the cycle is over.

3) Can HDL go lower than that? Is there any short term threat to fear?

4) Is anything out there to help with the cholesterol issue?

Your advice is highly appreciated.

Bud I went through something similar just a short time ago. Ill tell you right off the bat that the Tren is affecting you cholesterol more than anything. I would Drop to 500mg weekly so that would put you to roughly 70mg ED. Remember that this is not going to be as easy to controll due to the long acting nature of the Enanthate ester. After that I would take these over the counter suppliments: Policonsinol 10mg Ed , Niacin (non flush) 400mg Ed , Garlic 400mgEd. This should help and not limit your cycle length. Also ading cardio at least 30min daily will help and remember to avoid foods high in cholesterol. I think yur valuse are not to bad and his should help fix you up bro. Remember there are no emidiate effect youll be able to notice but its the long term damage to heart that your fighting. Remember th cardio bro....
hope this help
Peace

HDL supression is obviously quite common when using AAS. To answer your questions:-

1. I wouldn't tell your doctor, there's very little value in doing so and there is a risk of your insurance company finding out.

2. I would continue the cycle although I'd probably drop the planned tren/para dosing a bit.

3. In the short term your HDL isn't a major problem, but it's something you should start working on immediately to reduce the chance of it going lower.

4. Supps like those mention above will help in terms of lowering LDL, also consider adding plant sterols (products like Cholest Off) . These supps won't do much for boosting HDL though. Fish oil may help increase your HDL, but given the supressing effects of AAS it won't do much while you're on cycle. Statin drugs will be much more effective than supplements, but they do tend to deplete your body's CoQ10 levels.

Also, cardio and lots of fiber will help.

Hummm I see nowhwere in his post where he says he's taking tren guys....i would suspect the proviron and var. Winny really screws my numbers. But as mentioned above...look to the natural remedies to help with cholesterol......grapeseed extract is another good one also and if you are not getting enough add fiber to your diet.

Hey guys,
thank you all, that's quite a bit of info.

I tend to agree with Southernjuice.
The cause of it was probably the massive ammount of VAR I have been taking during the first 3 weeks.

Redspy, your forum on ironarena is outstanding!

That's what I am gonna do:

- Increase the cardio to 30min/day (I use to do 2 x 30min/week)

- Substitute the coffe (i drink rather a lot of it) with green tea

- Cut completely any fat from animal origin, and add fiber to my diet

- Try the supps recommended from "That Dude"

Concerning my cycle - I will probably avoid Tren this time - OR reduce it to a minimal 225 mg/week for no more than 5 weeks.

Concerning the appointment to the doctor, I will move it after the cycle is completed.

1 MORE QUESTION:
How long does it usually take for the cholesterol level to normalize (after cycle)???

thanks again for your support

Looks like a good plan. As SJ said, it could take a few months to get back on track.

I AGREE WITH THE ABOVE, JUST DO NOT UNDER ESTIMATE THE POWER OF NATURAL SUPPLEMENTS. I PERSONALLY TAKE NIACIN, UDO'S OIL, LOTS OF WATER, GRAPESEED EXTRACT, AND A GOOD DIET LOW IN ANIMAL FATS AND HIGH IN FIBER. THIS USUALLY CLEARS UP THE PROBLEM FOR ME IN ABOUT 4-6WEEKS, BUT THEN AGAIN I USE SOME OF THESE PRACTICES YEAR ROUND.

I had the same thing happen to me. My HDL dropped to 9!! My Internist went wild. Of course, I didn't tell her why. HOWEVER, she prescribed me Niaspan which increased the HDL. My Bro is a doc and I talked to him about it; he agrees with the usage of Niaspan. Ask you doctor for it; it increased the HDL at least to 20 for now.

Mike
