Anybody really know how much iron a bodybuilder should intake on a daily basis?? Found out MONDAY mine was low as hell just wondering how much is a good amout to take??

I am not sure really, do you take a multi vitamin that has iron in it? i cant take iron supplements. it makes me feel wierd and like shit. try to add a little at a time. ask you doctor the recomended amount. or hopefully TB or Nuge can help on this one.

Yeah i have the GNC multi app wasn't enough so know i am using one called blood builder!! 27 mg each cap

Thanks TB yep bought those BLOOD BUILDERS and one by enzymatic therapy which is the heme iron feels like starting to come around.But fuck i think i was around 20 or 30 mg's a day with vit and food intake but app wasn't enough could be the increase in RBC from the EQ you think?

ITS A THICK TARRY SYRUP, ITS USED TO SWEETEN THINGS, NOT SO MUCH ANYMORE, BUT ITS VERY HIGH IN IRON, AND IT IS ABSORBED VERY WELL, MANY NUTRITIONISTS HAVE HAVE THOSE LOW IN IRON TO INGEST 2 TABLESPOONS BSM EVERYDAY...

To treat iron deficiency, a common recommended amount is 100 mg per day - that amount is usually reduced after the deficiency is corrected.
Ferrous iron (e.g. ferrous sulfate) is much better absorbed than ferric iron (e.g. ferric citrate).
Bump for TB's suggestions with regard to natural foods.

Thanks redspy and TB will have to try and find some of that mollases!!All research i found said 10-20mg a day and i was like for what a fuckin 90# chic!!!LOL
