Either go see a Deep tissue Massage therapist to have the stress and kinks worked out, or go to a Chiro.

This can be muscle or joint. It is called torticollis. I may have spelled that wrong. It is usually an inflammation of a facet joint in the cervical spine

See a chiro. Hopefully you have a good one near by.

Relaxing with some heat on your neck may work wonders as well.

Well let me tell you if its a muscle yes, however TRUE TORTICOLLIS WILL BECOME SEVERE if you throw heat on it.

ICE FIRST BRO. at least it ice wont make it worse.

AND IF YOU WANT A QUICK FIX SEE A CHIRO.

I think what you have is a muscle spasm.I've gotting the samething in my neck too.You should try taking a hot shower and letting the water hit your neck and at the same time start to stretch your neck out.If that doesn't help then what you might need is a muscle relaxer. That should do the trick. But you definitely need to stretch it out,If you don't it's only going to get stiffer.

NEVER LET A CHIRO ADJUST YOUR C SPINE!!  Thoracic and lumbar, yes...never your c spine.  I can't even tell you how many people have received herniated disks from adjustments in the c spine.  See your general doc first.  If you need a referal, then let him do it.  You may need to ice the region and recieve a script for some NSAIDS.  That will reduce the inflammation and stop pressing the nerve.

ARE YOU FRICKIN KIDDING ME......WOW. was that some medical propaganda. huh.gif

CHRIST. rolleyes.gif

NAME ONE FRICKEN GENERAL MD. That has a fricken clue. blink.gif

BTW that is why you need a GOOD chiro. NOT A FUCKIN numb nut., I know MD's who have there head in there ass same for every profession.

I'll say this, in my life I have been to see a Chiro maybe 5 times... I'm a firm believer that 95% of Chiros are QUACKS, saw 1 really screw my mother up a few years back, treating something he new nothing about... but I actually found a good one who actually treats the problems and fixes it, not "adjusts" keeping you coming back day in and day out. Good Chiros are like Honest Lawyers... hard to come by.
Sorry to hear the problems Torchy... let me ask ya a question. As I know Spinal injuries are seriously no fun... how do you train with your injusries?

Sorry to hear that... I was in your shoes a few years back with a nasty knee injury, but definately not a serious as what you're going through. Is there a light at the end of your tunnel? Meaining... do you see a future with free mobility ahead?
Hope to hear you're doing better soon.
