The VIP Board Rules

As members of this or any other board, you have an obligation to read and know the board's rules. You are very welcome, but you are also guests here. There are some pretty simple rules already posted which people have been ignoring lately. The rules aren't draconian. Ignoring them is just inconsiderate. And for us mods, it is annoying having to deal with things - over and over again, which ought never come up if people would just read and follow the simple and fair rules.

ThinkBig's INTRO TO THE RULES

As always, I will say it again, if you are unsure of what falls in/out of the rules/guidelines, PM a Mod, we are here to help…

Due to the heavy amount of bullshit lately, I say to you to please read the rules. This is not a request, rather a requirement… This is for your own safety as well as ours!!!

If you do not read the rules and you end up breaking them here, we are not going to give you lax treatment for your ignorance of our guidelines here. You have been told to study them, and know them.

I will say that if you are caught breaking rules, be it posting trash, and bullshit drama, or not following the forum rules that are listed and pinned at the top of each forum, you will be dealt with swiftly.

This board is a place to help each other out, and learn and teach each other how to better ourselves and find secure supplementation needs… If you do not want to do any of those things, I ask you to save us the trouble of banning you and your IP. Just leave. Because if you choose to stay and not follow rules, you will be gone anyways…

Please help us to better the community, and to focus on the things we all want, improvement!!!"

Now with that said, let’s break it down a little so that it is perfectly clear.

DRAMA
We don’t want drama here. What does that mean? It means do not bring any little agenda with some board or petty grievances with some members in here to air them before us… "So you said this somewhere and somebody else said that, or at least so you say, and on and on." Enough already. Nobody wants to hear about it like that. This isn’t the girls section in the junior high cafeteria. IF there is an issue, take it to a Mod, at least that way you have the decency to spare the other members from having to read it before some facts have been gathered along with evidence to back them up.

– Always remember here: If you can’t BACK it up, don’t BRING it up!

Mods actually have better things to do with their time than deal with nonsense. Mods volunteer their time, and that time is best spent keeping things flowing smoothly on the boards, and safe in the community more generally. Remember that scene in the movie Heat where Al Pacino has to come meet the ex-con at a bar at 3am just to hear him say that he knows a guy who isn’t saying much? Well, play back the rest of the dialogue in your head.

THE SHOUTBOX
Besides not being the board’s Search feature, the Shoutbox is only a place for shooting the breeze, not an auction platform, not a business finder. Keep the inappropriate discussion OUT.

Drugs, anabolic or recreational

ALL discussion of recreational drugs is strictly and absolutely off-limits, not only in the Shoutbox but everywhere. The same goes for the discussion of the sale of anabolic steroids or 'gray market' peptides like growth hormone. We are here to learn about how to intelligently train, diet, and use healthy substances to build muscle or lose fat. Beyond that the only acceptable discussion regards substances to deal directly with the side effects of training with these. This absolutely does NOT include pain-killers, anti-anxiety medications, or anything of the sort. Nonesuch. And don’t bother trying to get into a pharmacological discussion over the matter: as far as the rules of this board are concerned, these ARE considered recreational drugs. So just to be perfectly clear: we will NOT tolerate ANY discussion about, asking for, or sales/distribution of illegal recreational drugs. For the Members who violate our policy on this subject the penalties will be quick and severe. This is no joke and the Mod staff will enforce this rule vigilantly.

THE CLASSIFIEDS MARKET
This section is a courtesy convenience to allow known members to get rid of A *LEGAL* item or A FEW *LEGAL* items. If you don’t have 200 posts, or you are less than Proven VIP rank, you are not welcome to post here. Know this rule.

Don’t try to be like Bubbles from The Wire here, pushing around your rinky-dink shopping cart store. Get an Ebay store.

PERSONAL ISSUES
Don’t be a drama queen. Do Not Be A Drama Queen. Got issues? Get over them until you are done typing for the day. Deal with your issues on your own time, when you are in public keep them caged up, Dr. Jekyl. We all come here to learn, to discuss things, not to be weighed upon by nonsense. Technology has its advantages, and we have a mute button to deal with you.

DISHONESTY
"Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive." Don't go around saying things just because this is Al Gore's Internet. If you get caught in your own web of dishonesty, expect to be branded as shady and looked down upon wherever you go for the rest of time. Make sense?

TOUGH GUY THREATS
Making threats of any kind here is absolutely unacceptable. Don’t try to be that annoying internet tough-guy. Let me assure you right now that you will not like the consequences.

PROBLEMS WITH OTHER MEMBERS AND DISRESPECT
If you have a minor problem with another member, suck it up. If you actually have a serious problem with another member, bring it to a Mod. But do try to deal with it first. Don’t become "that guy." Talking trash to people on this board isn’t welcome, and talking trash behind a person’s back is less welcome. Besides that it is counterproductive. Here’s a little lesson on the difference between civilized behavior and that of a barbarian: "you can tell a lot about people by the way they conduct themselves. Most mature adults are aware that when they talk about someone behind his back, they are only making themselves look bad." (Monsoon) Overall, if you act like a child, expect to be treated like one. Adults can disagree and go at it, hell that can be fun, but the minute it feels to us that we are dealing with toddlers, expect to get spanked. Whether that involves a simple chewing out, a suspension, or a complete ban, I suppose that’s up to you.

Another thing I'll make explicit here is that these rules aren't meant to discourage people from speaking their mind, nor should anyone think that we won't take some member's complaint seriously. If you are the lowest ranking member with a valid complaint, don't worry, we'll follow it up. That's how we "do" around here.
