I absolutely abhor these all-caps posts. They are an eyesore and if you want to make yourself less interesting to read and threads you participate in more difficult to follow, you are succeeding.

But good post anyways.

IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE POSTS THEN DON'T FUCKING READ EM'.

I'VE POSTED IN CAPS SINCE THE BEGINNING, BESIDES BEING INTERESTING TO SOMEONE RANKS RIGHT UP THEIR WITH GETTING KICKED IN THE NUTS ON MY TO DO LIST.

THANKS THOUGH.

Good info. It's nice to have guys around who know their shit. Personally, I'll be trying Vitargo soon with some whey and glutamine.

Yes. My postworkout shake is a custom-made mix of:

35% Whey protein isolate ion-exchange
20% Dextrose
15% Hydrolyzed whey protein high grade
15% Waxy Maize Starch
10% BCAA's
5% Taurine

I got 10lbs of this. Any good? What changes would the gurus suggest? I can get just about anything in there.

yo grunt - its follistatin - dropping in VIP board...don't usually post here but i'm suprised to see you ask this question MR. Endrocrinology!

looks like, I'm guessing each scoop is 30g, you've got:

10.5g WP Isolate
4.5g hydrolyzed whey high grade
6g Dextrose
4.5g Waxy Maize (vitargo)
3g BCAAs
1.5g Taurine

So with 2 scoops you've got 30g protein, 10.5 grams carbs, 6g BCAA (2:1:1 ratio..) and 3g Taurine.

this is not enough vitargo (wazy maize) or dextrose to do anything really....and that's too much Taurine in my opinion....not enough BCAAS for my taste, and not really enough protein either....

I'd do this: (2 scoops)

40% Whey protein isolate ion-exchange (42g total protein)
30% Hydrolyzed whey protein high grade
20% BCAA's (12g BCAA - 6g leucine, 3g isoleucine, 3g valine)
2.5% Taurine (1.5g)

I'm not sure what other ingredients you can get to fill the other 7.5%...maybe Creatine (4.5g) or something...more BCAA heheh....calcium HMB (HAH!)

buy your maltodextrin/dextrose seperate....NOW foods makes carbogain and dextrose same price.

This is my favorite during, and postworkout shake when I have $
30%PeptoPro
70%15% Waxy Maize Starch
No bloat, easy digest for me.

What is PeptoPro?
PeptoPro is the first debitterized, hydrolyzed (pre-digested) protein powder made of mostly all di and tri peptides under 300 daltons. In addition, it is the BEST mixing protein powder in existence. So good that PeptoPro actually turns clear when mixed with water.

PeptoPro is a casein hydrolysate produced from milk protein. Casein is enzymatically hydrolyzed peptides using a new and patented debitterizing process. This makes it the first hydrolyzed protein that can easily be used in a protein shake.

PeptoPro is unique because it contains over 80% peptides that are under 300 daltons. Normal food protein, like whey concentrate or whey isolate, is a polypeptide made up of thousands of units of amino acids. PeptoPro contains only short chain peptides (average length is less than 4 amino acids) which are water soluble. By being water soluble it not only makes the protein more digestible, but most importantly, makes it very user friendly. The small peptides from PeptoPro are directly and quickly taken up by the gut and released into the blood without digestion.

PeptoPro, as a casein hydrolysate, is a highly nutritious protein containing all essential amino acids in the correct ration for human health. PeptoPro is an easily absorbed protein hydrolysate, which has been treated with proprietary enzymes to cut the protein into di-peptides and tri-peptides, while the well balanced amino acid profile of casein is left intact. PeptoPro eliminates many of the technical problems and physiological side effects held by proteins, protein hydrolysates, and amino acids, while providing all of the advantages provided by these products.

bgptbull81 do you blend the oats in the shake or just straight up pour it in and shake it up?

Heya folli, I know lots of stuff but I do not know EVERYTHING. For example, I am trying this postworkout formula for the first time. Does it work? Yes. Can I make it better? Nothing better than to ask. I'm sure some guys have made postworkout nutrition their pet topic just as I have made some other things my pet topics.

So anyways you give some good ratios there but they mean NOTHING since the carbs are not included. And I take 3 scoops, roughly 100g of the stuff. Gives me:

35g Whey protein isolate ion-exchange
20g Dextrose
15g Hydrolyzed whey protein high grade
15g Waxy Maize Starch
10g BCAA's
5g Taurine

What would you do and why? I don't use insulin and I don't intend to, and most of the time I am on IGF-1 so I need some fast-acting carbs and protein, just not a boatload as if I used slin.
