The neck!!!!Nothing on this board is talked about the importance of training the neck....I havent heard one word concerning the neck.I guess everyone is walking around with a chicken size neck and doesnt even realize it.Well my friends im here to remind you about the very importance of the neck... If you dont train your neck ,chances are you look like the bettle juice type......A small neck gives that effect....If you expect to have a full rounded physique you got to have a muscular neck.A thick neck offsets by hung sloping traps is the epitome of raw power and manliness. In addition many of the nagging injuries picked up during training result from weak neck muscles. My personal favorite way to train my neck is a head harness....But most people dont like the feel of the cap that fits the head............Every gym should have some kind of equipment for building the neck..
OK now lets get to work .......... work that Neck!!!!

When I wrestled in school some years ago I worked it often and I was glad I did. Currently it is 19-19.5 inches and if I work it much it will be too big to find a shirt to fit. Unless I had them made and I am too cheap for that...lol

look at any college wrestler and you have a big ass neck. Bridges with a couple of plates or a real fat chick sitting on you will build it quick. Also buy a harness and bring it to the gym because i've only been in a few that have them and haven't seen one in a while. Deads and shrugs help too. I am not a fan of the four way neck machine but we have one at one of the gyms I go to.

Juggs nothing works like a basic wrestlers bridge... Lay on your back and roll your weight slowly toward your head and pivot on the back of your head (looking up) as your sole base for all the weight of your upper body. Arch your torso as high as you can ( like aiming your belly button to the ceiling) and hold it as long as you can. Bend your knees and arch on your tip toes to provide as much resistance as you can handle. this will create much better flexibility and kill your neck and traps.... trust me you’ve never seen a REAL wrestler with a small neck or traps.

With my weight around 200lbs. My NECK 18".

It is proportional to my size, I use to grab 45 or 35 plate lay on bench, place plate on head with a towel or without it on the forhead. Head sticking out over bench. Then tilt UP & DOWN.

I do not do it anymore, as to big a neck will make you look weird I feel.

peace

Leather head harness for massive reps 10# to 20#......you have to get primal and scream thru the last 20 reps tho........I use 2.5# plates that way I can look to the side and bob-n-weave a little......I realy try to engage the traps also so I wont pinch any nerves.....full range of motion......top to bottom......everyone mentioned bridges.....they are great too for building mass

I used to do it that way and it worked well. Those who have never trained neck before need to be careful, you can really hurt your neck if you do these excercises wrong.
