Question on baptism or your opinion rather.

Kids 16 and under being baptised. Maybe I don't fully understand the concept but to me they have their whole life of messing up ahead of them and are too young to make such a commitment.

What is your take on it?

I think it depends on what how your faith looks at baptism. My view is that it is just an outward showing of the inward transformation that is happening. It dosen't mean you wont screw up but that you have accepeted Christ in your heart and you are working on growing up in the fullness of the stature of Jesus Christ.
Eph 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
Knowing we will never be perfect in this form but we are working on it.

Grapeape and SHoulders have it right, an outward profession of an inward decision. 16 isnt too young, its the age of accountability that counts, when you realize you are a sinner. I was 12 years old when I asked the Lord into my heart, and was baptised thereafter.

I guess my understanding of what it meant was off a bit then. I can't understand the preacher very well he is all over the place when answering questions.

I do not believe that age matters at all. If you have committed your life to Christ, and you believe in him with your heart, then baptism is just a great way of symbolically becoming a new person and showing your new faith and commitment to everyone.
