Is Hughes a shitty coach, or does he just have a bunch of wussies?

He putting himself before his team... His guys are not morons and realize he is only competing for himself so the training is one dimentional. Serra understands this is a 50/50 game with half physical and half mental. He caters to his fighters need to be comfortable in the ring and not mount pressure by forcing ramifications such as humiliation and corperal punishment if his fighters loose. He (hughes) is loosing the trust and admiration of his team and there for his fighters are not focused on the right thing. Just my opinion...

I used to think HUGHES was a prick but after him bringing them food, Bibles, and taking the time to get to know his guys....he has started his own training facility/gym since he did the show's last taping.

I used to roote for Serra a few years ago and while he did his stint on TUF as a contestant. NOW...he's just a bigger prick than Hughes. At least with HUGHES its just him...he is just a prick because of being a competitor. Serra-a prick because he's intimidated.

Hughes had the team to smash Serra's...especially based on conditioning and appearance...by the looks of most of those guys and how they trained...I would venture to say they felt they were all going to coast to the finals...what a bunch of meatheads...I've been a head high school wrestling coach...I know how I ran my practices...and at that level...you gotta teach how to be aggressive and sometimes put a hurtN on them in practice so they don't hurt on the mat....of course now Im at the middle school level and it is "grab ass" games and teaching tons of moves.

I hope HUGES punishes Serra with a spinning back fist

Hard to say what the deal is with Hughes team. George vs. Danzig in the finals. This season is boring. Serra is annoying and Hughes is a baby. The talent this season seems to be lacking.

matt serra may come off as a dick to people but its only people that he doesnt like--matt hughes is a dick all the time. doesnt matter now--serra hurt his back and st. pierre is stepping in.i hope he knocks matt hughes out AGAIN!!!!

Serra claims Hughes to be a dick and he could be, but Serra is the one that is always bad-mouthing Hughes. In my book, the DICK is the one doing the bad-mouthing. I now hope Hughes whips his arse when and if they collide!
