Everything can cause them, any moisture in that area will cause it. My girl gets them all the time. Has something to do with sex too..Does your girl also have IBS? A yeast infection is kind of like jock itch, same things cause them, heat bacteria and moisture

Yeast infections are extremely prevalent among north american populations. They are as common in males as in females although they tend to show up "down there" among females, periodically, whereas in fact, she has systemic myceliosis.
To be sure, there are some RARE cases when yeast infections are localized in the genital area of the female, but they are very rare. OTOH, more than half the population of the USA carries Candida Albicans, one of the more toxic and die hard strains of such yeasts.
Candida can cause symptoms that range from any types of allergies, food intolerances, hypoglycemia, mood disorders, migraines, and well there must be a word for it, but insatiable appetite, especially sugary foods. I'll bet your girl has quite the sweet tooth.
Sadly, big pharma has no cure for these systemic myceliosis or candidosis as is most usual. Instead, they treat individual symptoms that arise from it, which of course lets the yeast wreak its havoc on the body.
But it is very simple, really. These yeasts feed on glucose. If you keep your blood sugar very low all the time, you can starve it pretty well. Now this means going on an atkins-type diet, or if the patient is into bodybuilding, a ckd would work although it will take longer to fully get rid of the yeast by doing a ckd than a long-term low-carb diet such as Atkins.
There is one agent which is known to be extremely effective against yeasts and that is colloidal silver, which is also very effective against anaerobic bacteria and virii. I have been drinking colloidal silver for a couple years now and I must say it lives up to its promises, even though you will surely find bashing sites at the top of the search engine results.

My girl tells me strong or prolonged use of antibiotics can cause them as well. Guess it kills the good bacteria "down there"...

Hey B2J
Don't worry, many women get a yeast infection from time to time (I know 'cuz I had one not so long ago). It are caused by a bacteria called "candida albicans" (when we're wearing underwear that's not in cotton or using lotions on our genitals , stress, our periods or even using soap to wash our genitals).
Your girl should get suppositories that she can introduce into her vagina. I believe they are sold OTC (they are in my country anyway).
However, since she keeps getting those infections, she should see a doctor who will diagnose the cause of these repeated yeast infections.
Don't worry, it's very rare that a woman gets it by having sex with her bf/husband.

Antibiotics seem to bring mine on, otherwise I never get them. But some antibiotics are worse for it than others so always check with your doctor. If you start taking something for a yeast infection at the start of your course of antibiotics then it will prevent one from occurring.

candidiasis is an overgrowth of the fungus or yeast candida albicans. it can be caused by antibiotic therapy, chemotherapy, oral contraceptives, corticosteroids (prednisone), chlorinated water, heavy metal overloads, poor diet, or underlying illness or immunosuppression.
it can be helped with supplemental probiotics lactobacillus acidophillus, bulgaricus, and bifidus
you can find these at a health food store or you can obtain some from eating a good quality yogurt, ie not FROZEN, and not one of those blendy sugary things

Here's a good one, I actually just bought 14 boxes of them (got 2 free) a few minutes ago:). I've tried a few brands and this one seemed to work the best:

YOU HAVE BEEN TAKING COLLIODIAL SILVER? HHHMMMM??
ANYWAY, EATING YOGURT WITH LIVE CULTURE (READ THE PACKAGING TO MAKE SURE), OTC MONOSTATE, OR THE DR CAN PRESCRIBE DIFLUCAN WHICH IS A PILL. DIET CAN UPSET THE BACTERIA IN THE DIGESTIVE TRACT OR EXPOSURE TO WET UNDERGARMENTS (AFTER WORKING OUT, BATHING SUITS, SWEATING ETC.) WILL ALSO CAUSE THEM.
PEOPLE THINK THAT NOT CLEANSING AFTER SEX CAUSES THEM, BUT I HAVE NEVER HEARD THAT. KIDNEY INFECTIONS CAN BE CAUSED BY NOT PEEING AFTER SEX, BECAUSE ANYTHING GOING UP THE URETER CAN CAUSE A BACTERIAL INFECTION IN THE KIDNEYS.
HOPE THIS ACTUALLY HELPS.

I think males can get it too if Im not mistaken.. If your having sex with your girl and she gets it, I think you both have to treat it, so you dont give it back to each other..

Anyone can get a yeast infection.
Simply eating too many sugars can cause a yeast infection. I'm assuming since it was close to halloween, your ladyfriend was eating quite a bit of candy?
I actually own a bottle called, "Yeast Raiders" It kills yeast in your body using a form of bacteria which attacks yeast. It's GREAT stuff! It helps with digestive a bit as well.
You also feel "tuned up".
One thing I've read, and WITNESS is people with yeast AND fungus in their system (and they dont even know they HAVE it! People like YOU AND ME; EVERYDAY) tend to hold a LOT of fat!
Some people whom diet, never see great results, if any at all, because this bacteria in their systems really messes them up to where they store some much crap.
Anyways, go to GNC, get her some garlic caps, yeast raiders and have her take them as recommended on the bottles.
It works. I even do this from time to time.
