So I was at the gym this morning, and the news was on, and I was appalled at what I saw.
They were profiling a couple who are injecting their 7 year old son with HGH on a regular basis to encourage him to grow tall, not bigger, but TALLER. Doctors tested the child and found that his body is producing completely normal amounts of human growth hormone on it's own, but the parents don't care, they tell their son "you are great just the way you are, but we are giving you injections to make you even better." This kid is totally going to grow up with a warped perspective I think, and not only that, is it not harmful because his body is already growing and changing so much on it's own at that age, that isn't this going to make his growth a little strange? Anyways, had to share....

but then there's always this kid....LOL

We ARE parents like that ................... and it did not work with our daughter. She as past the age of growing sad.gif

We had her tested and her levels were a low, she is only 4'11" and is very self conscious about it. After almost 6 months of treatment it did nothing.

First off, I would wait until the kid is about 17, then administer the gh, secondly there's was a little girl who was my next door neighbor until I moved recently who looked EXACTLY like that little hercules kid, I called her "Little Hercules" but she doesn't have a clue why.

If the levels are naturally low, I think it's perfectly understandable...sorry it didn't work though, guess some things just aren't meant to be sleep.gif

There is NO proper motive behind giving a 7 y/o HGH!!

Do they want him to be some giant for basketball or what?

I hope he does not grow abnormally, or have problems for proper organ function in the future.

And hgh is not necessarily going to make him taller!

When I researched a group of doctors that had made a dwarfed man as tallas 5'7", it was not just HGH!!

They had to CONTINUOUSLY BREAK his legs and arms, SPACE them with splints, casts, etc. and allow them to fuse. Break, Space, REPEAT! Until he was as tall as an average human.

I can see this.. but a 7 year, get the fuck out of here people. THIS IS NOT JUSTIFIED.

in order for hgh to work on making a shorter child taller it has to be started before or right around the start of puberty and administered throughout
