So I was wondering if anyone here does or has done any kind of detox system? The one I'm doing now is more of an intestinal cleansing thing, but I guess would be similar to detoxing. It's called "Internal Flush". All natural.

Wondering which ones people have tried, if anyone has tried the one that I'm doing, and the results they've found? blink.gif

Thanks!

It's so funny you posted this topic b/c I was just discussing this last night...

I have tried a couple different types over the counter but I can't recall the names of them. Honestly, I noticed that I felt less bloated and little more energetic for a couple weeks. I suppose it could have all been in my head too.

We're getting pretty personal here but I've also tried colon hydrotherapy. It's as uncomfortable as you would imagine but I felt really good the next few weeks. I get headaches regularly and I noticed they dissipated after having it done. I wanted to have it done before dieting and training for an event I was attending. And I thought it sounded good to start with a clean slate.

I think it's good to do for your body once in a while. But if you eat healthy and workout regularly, I don't know if it's all that necessary. Hopefully someone else will have more input.

Gall flush is a good one (If I remember well, SLICK or another guy posted a thread about it here or at another board).
OxyPowder is more of a colon cleanser. I use it regularly too.

Thanks for the input!

davezombie, to answer your question. The average human body can hold up to 10lbs of EXTRA waste, so not just what is in your colon from the week, or such, but the bowels and all that have pockets here and there, and over time, crap (no pun intended, lol) builts up and attaches itself to the colon walls like spackle or paste.

Obviously waste is toxic, and it is good to clean the system. I do it about once a year, but they say you can do it up to 3 times a year. However, be cautious not to over do it, or you could get rid of the good bacteria in there that your body needs.

Like Bambam said, you can feel more energetic, less bloated, lose a couple inches and feel healthier within a couple weeks. This Thursday, it will have been one week for me, and I have cleaned out a ton (no graceful way of saying that, lol) and feel great!

This one is good also becasue it's really gentle on the body, no cramping or anything. My Fiance were looking some up and you would not believe the kinds of things people are seeing, *gross* hehaha.

ps: never heard of colon hydrotherapy.....wacko.gif

It's a clinic you go to and they literally flush your system out. I think there are some shady places out there but I had my administered by a nurse and the place is owned by a well known doctor. So for sanitary reasons, do your research.

They fill your intestines up with water to the point where you feel like you can't take it any more. Then it is suctioned back out. It wouldn't be a big deal but it can take a couple hours to complete. And she was rubbing in a circular motion on my stomach almost the whole time. You'd think you'd want to be left alone but when she was leaving the room periodically I felt like a 5 year old wanting my mommy back!

A lot of celebrities do this regularly especially before their red carpet events to help them slim down and look like they have flat stomachs. That's where I first heard about it. I was surprised when I looked into it how many people are doing this...by both men and women.

OH MY! ohmy.gif ......I've had an enema before, (wow this conversation is getting nasty, LOL) and it sounds very similar, but there was no suctioning, and it was pretty harsh. However, the Hydro and enema do work the best, but must feel the worst, lol... wacko.gif
