The unspeckable happen to me.Yes,one hell of a LG abscess formed on my left bicept.For the life of me i dont know what triggered it.Ive used all the right movements as normal...After 10 years of abuse i guess it was time to pay the devil his dues...I went to the emergency department Saturday afernoon after trying to see if it would go away on its own....It didnt.The doctor came into the room with a 18 gauge neddle.He stuck that sucker all the way inside and pulled out 10ccs of puss.Not good he tells me....Im gonna have to cut it open....He cut about an 1/2 inch very deep and pushed out about another 20 ccs of puss.He packed it up and sent me home.I just went today for a follow up which they repacked it again and my next visit is 2 days from now which he told me he will stich it back up.Im off the weights for a full week now...Im kinda going crazy knowing i cant lift.Its a fucked up situation.Come to find out my BP is off the chart....110 over 180something...not good.I got some meds to lower it back down....If any of you think that only happens to other people.think agian....I though the same way...No matter how clean you perpare a spot sometimes its not good enough...Im clueless kinda about how the fuck this shit happened....When it comes to injections i go by the book..New neddles.achol wipes the whole 10 yards....Now,as i think back i pinned a spot that had a knot in my bicpect...Im thinking that maybe that caused the abscess?Dont know....Anyway ,im a fucking die hard...Im taking this shit with a good heart because it could have been alot worst.And im taking this as a lesson learned......Be very carefull when you're fucking around...Make sure you dont pin any knots that has delevoped under the skin.Pin some other spot....If you dont Well,you can write the next post about abscess........dw

Sorry to hear all that. Geese, what a crappy weekend! Not what you want to hear I'm sure but maybe it will do you some good to give your body a little rest. Your health is the most important thing. The rest will work itself out...it always does.

Unfortunately, the smallest things can cause absesses. Hope it cleares up quickly!

I am sorry to hear that....he didnt put you on any antibiotoics? The reason I mention it is cause you said your temp was high. You could have an infection as well.

yes im on a serious antibiotoics CLINDAMYCIN...Im taking two every 6 hours.dw

Today not a trace of swelling.............My arm isnt hot anymore......I think im out the dark...........Tomorrow back to the docs to get this stiched up so i can get back to my life..............dw

Well I'm glad to hear it's getting better for you. Not to worry, if you keep it in check, you won't have to walk on egg shells, but like GDAWG15 says, it's sort of a small blessing in disguise I guess because now you can fix the bp issue before anything bad happens.

Yep,i knew ive been messing around with my health...I have to excpet the fact im not a young person.But after all the truma that was tossed on me its really time to pay attention to my health alot more......dw

Been there done that, not good.

Mine came long after cycle like 6 wks after. I pulled it in the gym, poor warm-up. It swelled up & was infected. Grew & grew my right bicep, all swoled up. I had it looked at, the idea was to take Anti-Biotics which I did, to no avail.

So in the end it was so bad the skin was thin & the puss wanted out. I had to go under the knife. the wound took forever to heal as the skin was so thin. Not fun, I was out of the gym for a while.

But like you I am a die hard. Little by little I got back into it. Now I just have the scar & the biceps a little bit smaller. Strength is better than before.

So have no worries, try to do some CARDIO & LEGS in the mean time.
