update on myself and training?

whats up bros?
well i decided to concentrate on cutting some body fat this summer? im in my early 40's now?
i began in late may at a bodyweight of 293 and im GUESSING 25+% BF
its now late july and i have been UNDER 270 all week for the 1st time in over 10 years!
today i weighed 268.5 at just under 11% BF (i have some electronic calipers now!)
im getting through our 3 hour football practices with no problem what so ever now!
im not happy with my strength, as its down from my best numbers due to the wt loss (in march of 07 i hit a 440 raw bench in an APF meet weighing 292 lbs)

my last bench day i only got 315 for 3 sets of 6?? when i get back up to sets of 10 with 3 plates, i will be happy again?
i simply used a carb rotation plan that called for 2 days of very low carbs (25 to 50 grams) per week (on cardio only days) 1 cheat day and 4 moderate carb (less than 100 grams) on my training days?
oh well, i had to sacrifice a little strengtyh for improving my health?
if anyone cares, i will tell you what i did?

I've been doing the same thing myself, trying to cut as much body fat as possible and get really lean. I've dropped a bit of weight myself, and am sad to admit that although my conditioning is great, I can run for miles as I'm that fit now, but my strength has gone down a bit too, comes with losing the weight. I recently found out I'm anemic so I know that has a lot to do with it also, but I know how you feel. I took a couple weeks off from the gym and am now going into it next week with a whole new game plan to see if I can fix that little issue.

Glad to hear things are going good on dieting. I too will be adjusting my diet to lose body fat ina few weeks.

i still read the site most every night, jusrt dont post much "in football season" so to speak?
iwould like to get my body into the 250's lbs with under 10% BF. than in the fall / winter get back up to 275 but stay 10 to 12% and get my strengthy back up?

Sounds like a good plan. Damn I hate living somewhere that has winter, lol...winter is loooong here...

Sounds like you're on the right track BigLexi. Keep up the hard work. Strength will come back up as soon as you are at the weight you feel best at.

Well, well, well.....hello there Lexi. Sounds like you are doing great these days. I have been wondering about you. I have been busy these days myself going through a lot of personal issues. Glad to see you still around brother!!!

Ps. I am down to a trim 280 +/- and just had a meet at the end of June at 275. I too used a low carb technique. Keep after it!
