ZMA
180 caps, 60 servings - $16
http://www.bulknutrition.com/?products_id=1041

Muscle Milk Light...well it's just delicious stuff and I need some more smile.gif

ALCAR? Opinions?

L-Glutamine/Arginine....worth it? Opinions?

Thanks!

Hey d. I've had good results with Arginine (AAKG powder). I'm also getting ready to order from bulknutrition too. What about creatine?

KB bro!!!

I was just about to PM you and how you're doing and that neck healed up ok.
Will look into the AAKG powder.
Not really sure about the creatine. I've done the no-xplode/cell mass from BSN and it works great IMO and haven't really tried anything else.

Some of my friends swear on Muscle Tech's brand of creatine so I'm still on the fence on that one.

Try black powder, unreal pumps and crazy energy, much better than NO-xplode.

You like the muscle milk? I always thought it was overpriced junk? Is it good? I know it tastes good but as for bang for your buck?

I believe that MRI makes the (N.O.) Nitric Oxide BLACK POWDER, I may be wrong though.

IMHO, glutamine is common sense and simply cheap insurance. it's major importance to me is to stave off the bodies inclination to draw from muscle for fuel - the catabolic process. and, its cheap so for the price, why not???

My only issue is with taking certain types of aminos is that you tend to throw off the balance of the amino chains. Your body breaks down amino chains very efficiently. However, if you increase one amino, it would throw off the whole balance therefore actually slowing down the break down and the efficacy of the altered chains. Does that make sense? I also feel that with a proper high protein diet, you should be getting all the glutamine your body needs. Again, these are my thoughts on the subject and would like to hear others...

Great to hear man!!!

I finished up in May with Advertising/Marketing...just trying to find that career, trying to move! smile.gif

Oh and for some reason it won't let me multi quote.

I will look into Black Powder. I took the No-Xplode/Cell Mass before on several occasions and loved it. The way it tasted, the pumps/caffeine from the No-Xplode and the creatine from Cell Mass helped a little.

Muscle Milk is about the same price as ON, if not a little cheaper. www.massnutrition.com has great prices on them. Taste great and the cost is about the same as any other protein. To me it's worth it.

Very interesting to take into consideration. I love to hear other thoughts on this also.

Currently I'm using Controlled Labs White Flood and Purple Wraath for my pre/intra workout drink and I'm loving it.

As for your list it looks good to me...do you have a good multi? What about EFA's?

I just went ahead and ordered this from bulknutrition:

1 x ZMA $15.99
1 x Arginine Alpha Ketoglutarate 2:1 (AAKG 2:1) $59.99
1 x Xtend
- Flavor: Lemonade $42.99
1 x Tribulus 1000mg $11.99
1 x L-Glutamine $19.99
2 x Gold Standard 24 Pak
- Flavor: Chocolate $89.98

Use code "laborday08" and I think it's basically free shipping.

I want to try out some Isopure Endurance next time. Seems like a good product to try out haha smile.gif

So what would be the ideal time to take these suupplements?

I normally take a gainer/protein shake 1hr to 45mins before working out, No-Xplode about 15min or on the way to the gym, BCAAs during workout, then another shake when I'm done.

Opt Nut contains 3gs of BCAAs as the label says IIRC.
Should I stay with my gainer shake 1hr before workout, AAKG right before/on the way, BCAAs during, shake and Glutamine after?

I actually mixed the Xtend BCAAs with the AAKG the other day...tasted like stank asshole haha, I don't recommend it!!!
