I have gotten bloodwork done bianually since 02, good cholesterol keeps dropping, bad cholesterol is just fine. doc says unless we had causght it, I would have been one of the perfectly healthy people who just kill over from a heart attack out of the blue. I have been on 1000mg/day niaspan for the past yr, and has helped, but still not where it should be. any suggestions?

Toremefine or raloxofine are usually better on the lipid profile than any of the other SERMs.

Fish oil pills and red grape juice, can not be regular grape juice. I to have a low HDL cholesterol. I hate fucking Niaspan. Make sure but I am sure you already know to take an 81mg baby aspirin 30 mins before taking the niaspan and this will help with the flushing that the niaspan is going to give. I have raised mine from 11 to 20. 28 is where it needs to be.

thanks guys...i'll check into that, I have had no sides from the niaspan, the flushing went away after about a week, I think I feel like I have a little less energy if I miss it for a day or two.

Oatmeal..whole grains...EFAs / Omega3s....fiber.

You can correct this with diet and supps. Also...you can add in RYR or Liv.52 as they help the liver..where Cholesterol is handled.

There are more supps...Garlic oil (do not use odorless)...Flaxseed Oil...oatmeal!! (When eating oatmeal don't go for the instant. Cook it and just don't add in all the other stuff. You can throw in some flaxseeds to help as well.)
