I've been out of the game for a long time, but have enough from the past to do a decent 8 wk. cycle of test/deca. As for the vials in question, I have 1/4 vial of T400 with an exp. date of 11/2008 and 3/4 vial of Test Enanthate with an exp. date of 9/07. They have been sitting in a cheap fire proof safe for prob. 1 1/2-2 years. Still safe to use? Safe to bake them for a bit to possibly kill any bacteria? Time/temp? Thanks guys and gals!
Open vials ... still safe?

exp dates on most gear are good up to 5 years...If the oil is still clear and looks stable i would chance it.After 5 years its consider old but thats just standard shit by the FDA ...Ive had gear out datted by 3 years and the stuff was still good..Like i said as long as the oil looks clear it shouldnt be a problem....dw

The oil still looks normal and clear to me. I was concerned becuase I thought I had read a horror story somewhere about someone using gear out a vial that had been opened for a long time. Supposedly there was a lot of built up bacteria and it caused major problems. That's why I was curious about possibly baking it, but I suppose that would melt the rubber on the top of the vial???

Exp Dates are just to keep a product moving off the shelf. But I do agree with DW if it looks stable, I would try it and I have tried it with no problems

The bacteria thing kinda depends on your shooting practices & sterility. If you reused needles to draw, etc...theres more of a chance for growth of bacteria inside the vial over all that time...but that's what the BA is for, to kill that kind of stuff. Should be fine, but if you wanna bake it a bit, have at it

I finished a bottle that I had for almost two years. I would use it.

I have used expired gear, no problem. As said previous if it looks good, go for it. You should be able to bake it if you want, the rubber shouldn't melt......at least it never has on me. I like to bake it at 250 for 45 minutes.
