Ok, I am about to start my second cycle and have been wondering how one can add mass while cutting belly fat? Is it even possible. Should I worry more on eating a shitload of food? I have gotten significantly bigger, yet have this couple inch layer of fat over my stomach, so no six pack. What are my options? Any advice?
Again appreciate it! You guys are great.

Just strive to put on quality lean mass by eating clean and keeping carbs to a minimum...No need to get fat while bulking...

I am a back country mountain guide so I am in the process of training to get ready for the season. Is it a good idea to do intense cardio several times a week. I usually train with a 70lb pack for 30 minutes to a couple of hours.

i can tell you what i have been to told.. cardio is the only way to burn fat.... and when you cut down on eating you only put your body in caveman mode where its trying to store all the fat it can because it can use it when you dont eat.... thats my 2 cents...

Agree Jimmy, slowing the amount of food you eat will initially show some weight loss but will only get rid of part of the weight. Cardio for the rest.
Toltec, I have found what works for me is to go through eating cycles. When I want to bulk I eat more calories and food and just deal with the fact that my 6 pack will be gone. Then I hit the diet and the cardio to slim down and get the 6 pack back while keeping some new muscle. It usually works something like put on 15lbs, burn 10lbs off then put 10lbs on burn off 7lbs then put on 20lbs and burn of 13lbs.
For me personally that works faster than just slowly putting on lean quality muscle. But you will just have to experiment and see what works for you. I know a lot of bros dont have the discipline to constantly put weight on and take it off.
You ever see pros in the offseason? Those mugs put on like 80lbs in their offseason to try and grow muscle!!

The question of the ages....
Eat properly....I know while on we're all supposed to eat like there's no tomorrow, but eat the proper things at the proper times. Period....make SURE the calories are an inverted triangle. Large breakfast, smaller dinner, everything in between.
Ingest the majority of your protein in REAL foods, limiting the shakes and anything else with artificial sweetners, etc, for supplement (boost) only.
Then once off the cycle, the water retention, etc, will drop off, and there will be nothing there when you cut!

Just strive to put on quality lean mass by eating clean and keeping carbs to a minimum...No need to get fat while bulking...BCAA's are the most important along with quality protein
I think carbs are just as important as proteins....it's all about what kind of carbs. Brown rice or white? Cheerios or fruity puffs? Cous Cous or gummy bears? Fats are just as important, buit of course they need to be mono and poly unsaturated. I wish I knew the perfect ratio, but since we all have different metabolisms, it's different for all of us.
