I remember reading before that your body doesn't metabolize coffee the same way it would with a caffeine pill for training purposes. Any one ever hear of this? I can't remember where I read that.

My wife and I just got an espresso/cappuccino maker. I think I'll start drinking a couple of shots of espresso before heading downstairs to workout. In the past, I've taken an ECA stack before training, but I workout in the evenings and I find that combo tends to keep me awake at night when I go to bed.

for sure that ephedrine will keep you buzzing for a good few hours... personally not a fan makes me a bit too shaky...

Nice article. I knew I liked that cup of coffee before I hit the weights for some reason. I don't miss a cup if its a really important lifting day. I does help me get my intensity up for heavier weights for sure.

what is "before training" mean exactly? 15 minutes, 1 hour with or without food, on the way to the gym?? I wake up every morning and have a cup so yes, I guess I do have coffee before I work out....but when is it best and with what??
