Another interesting article on how sport drinks containing carbs can improve exercise preformance.
As a personal side note to this article, I have been using Cytomax (sometimes Gatorade or Powerade) during my workout for years. I usually add waxy maize and a little peptogrow to it and sip it during my workout. I can't say that I notice marked improvement in exercise performance, but because I like the flavor I do drink more fluids thus staying better hydrated than if I were only drinking plain water during my workout.
