Ok, so as you all know, I'm a dancer now....stripper, whatever....lol

So on my first shift, I jumped on the pole, and somehow injured my shoulder, so I figured "meh....must be a strain or pull or something" so it ended up getting worse and worse...I went to the gym as usual, and to work, and I ended up leaving the gym last time in tears with an arm so in pain it was literally limp...couldn't move it at all!

This frightened me a bit so I went to the doctor who said that I either have a really bad rotator cuff injury, which could also have a tear in my shoulder muscle or bicep....

YUCK...so I'm forbidden from heavy lifting...which is any one of our biggest nightmares...and my ultrasound isn't until May 22nd, so we shall see!

Anyone else had any problems like this? How was the healing time and what did it entail? I'm hearing that I may need physio aswell...hmmm angry.gif

I haven't had this particular injury but I have learned the hard way...if it hurts dont do it.

Good luck.

LOL...the pole move was great! But the after effects weren't so much, lol....thanks though everyone...

DW, you are so right...if it hurts...DONT do it, lol...I seem to have a problem in that department, being as stubborn as I am...I learn the hard way tongue.gif But yes...you are right, and the shoulder is the worst!

Thanks for the advice, I am definitely following it! biggrin.gif

It took me a second to quit visualizing you on that pole!!! Sorry..but I need to move to where you are working now!!!

OK..with a shoulder injury...give it some rest and wait on the MRI once you have an idea what's taking place you can plan a little better. For now don't aggravate it. Work around it.

I will keep you in my thoughts...Oh..uh..I mean I am sending positive thoughts your way...you're already in my thoughts!!!!

(Seriously...take care of yourself and feel better. It will heal quickly)

Sorry to hear about the shoulder Miss K. Make sure you ice it a couple of times a day, that will help with any inflammation in the shoulder. As others have said, take it easy for a while and give it time to heal. Unfortunately, my experience is that these things can take a while.

But thanks! I know it will take a while, but I'll get through it smile.gif
