Ok here is the question:
I am 5'4" and weigh 128lbs. Not fat and fairly lean.
What would be a good amount of weight for me to be able to squat for 10 on my third set ??
I dont pay attention to my numbers as my husband adjusts the weights on the bar.
But I know what I did last night and dont know how that compares.
Thanks in advance ! ! !

how long have you been squatting?
175 would not be unreasonable

Hmmm, I'm not sure for you. But I can tell you what I do and maybe it will help to gauge you. I'm 5'9", 144 lbs and normally squat 185 (including the bar) for 15 reps. I train quads 1-2 x wkly.

Ok.............thats gives me an idea. I did 225 lbs for 10 on my third set so I guess that isn't to bad.
I train them 2-3X a week, pretty much do full body workouts 3X a week. I will switch it up every 2 months but for now thats what I am doing.

It's always hard to gauge yourself to someone else but all that aside 225 for a set of 10 is great. Nice work Ms. W, with the legs I saw in that pic though 225 doesnt surprise me one bit.

What other exercises do you do for quads? Are you pretty strong with hamstrings too?

Congrats Ms Wb. For your height and weight..this is amazing.
I guess more the question would be..what are you trying to achieve. For a lady BBer..this is outstanding. For a lady PLer...depending on her goals..this is outstanding but..could improve.
If you use the formula for a 1RM...
Weight x Reps x .0333 + Weight = Estimated 1RM
you have an approx max of 299.25. Which is pretty dang good!
So..the question to you Ms Wb...what are your goals? TO me..I would enjoy seeing you train for a PL meet. You have the strength...just need to change your routine towards powerlifting.

those are all great goals and as you can see...your squats are doing well. Are you sure we can't make a powerlifter out of you??? Although we're a little crazy...we have huge hearts and don't take any BS! Just ask DW what his thoughts are!
