Alright fellas,

I'm coming off a three month lay-off from shoulder surgery and def seeing and feeling the lack of a workout. I should be all clear to get back in the gym mid-August, which will prob save my sanity at this point. I'm curious as to what compound would be best to run? I've run plenty of cycles and under normal circumstances, already know what I want to run based on the results I'm looking for. This is my first major injury and I understand that it's going to be a gradual process back.

Surgery was in mid-May and they re-attached my front rotator cuff tendon to the bone and did a bone-graph to my humerus (upper arm bone) to repair the groove the bicep tendon runs across.

Being that I don't want to over-load the repair and even though the doc is going to give me the all clear, I think it would be best to stay on the tendon/ligament strengthening gear rather than blasting into a test/deca cycle. I'm looking at starting it in Oct, as I'll need some natural lifting time to get my lifts and base-line weights back. Anyone who has come back from an injury, I'd be curious to hear what you ran when you got back into the game? I'm leaning towards a EQ/Anavar cycle because those were always my favorites, but I'm open to suggestions. Any thoughts guys? weight_lift.gif

I would say GH. Will definately help with the recovery. I did this with my pec tear and it worked great. I myself would stay away from any gear until about 2 to 3 months back in the gym. This should allow ample time for things to naturally catch up and, minimizing the potential for re-injury.
Remember slow and steady wins the race. Good luck on your way back.

Yeah, I figured gh would be the best option, but I'd like to run some gear too. I'll be back in the gym mid-august so is oct going to be too soon to start a mild cycle?

The reason most injuries like yours occur is because your muscles are too strong compared to the tendons....we all know that's what juice does.. I would not touch anything until you reach your natural peak, which could take 6 months to a year easily. You really dont want this injury to reoccur and if you jump into any cycle, even HGH, you are risking major problems that might finish you for good.

Whatever you do, just be patient and remember you will get there if you take your time and do things NATURAL...

I completely understand the accelerated muscle to tendon ratio bro and I by no means, am going to hit the crazy bulkers that I used to. I guess I'm wondering if I just stick to tendon-positive gear and stick to the higher reps, can I ease back into the game? I'm planning on a good two months of natural lifting to get the feel for the shoulder post-surgery. I'm also going to change the lifts that I do too because I probably won't ever really be able to hit my shoulders like I used to. sad.gif I dunno guys, this recovery sucks and I might be fishing for an answer that just isn't there...anybody else have any advice?

I have experience in this arena and recommend either IGF or HGH dependent upon your budget. Also get a good joint supplements like Animal Flex by universal, hydrolyzed collagen, and EFAs. I did use deca once and eq another for recovery purposes. Looking back it was a mistake as it blunted the feel of the effected joint/tendon thereby making it easier to impede recovery rather than help. I believe you need to feel the effected joint completely and listen when it does not feel right. You will know when that is and need to stop what you are doing and go home to rest it.

I speak from three shoulder scopes, AC removal, and complete bicep tendon rupture. Remember this is a marathon not a sprint. Take your time to heal correctly and completely before you stress it.

Hyalagan would be another excellent choice or Pentosan.

Yeah, I'm probably just going to have to hit the gym natural for a while once I get the "all-clear" here in a couple weeks. Guess it won't be that bad and I'm sure I'll have a little bit of muscle memory as well so I'm going to see results. I'll prob revisit this issue in a couple months of natural lifting and see where I'm at. As always, thanks for all the input fellas and good luck in the gym! biggrin.gif

I know this post is a few months old but I am coming off major shoulder surgery and found some of the advice in this thread useful. Although I wont be in the gym for almost a year I am looking through what others have done after their surgeries. I know I wont be doing any aas for quite some time but was looking into hgh and using it without aas after I have been back in the gym for an ample amount of time following my full recovery. I know that it will take awhile to get going in the gym and it will be a long process of getting my shoulder back to where I can start lifting like I did before the surgery. How long until I am suitable to use hgh once back in the gym? For those of you who have done hgh after a major surgery how did it benefit you and was it used in conjunction with anything else? What I am looking for is something that will help me get to where I was before, time is the first thing for sure. My shoulder surgery was orthoscopic and my rotator cuff tendon was almost fully torn off and I had a slap lession in my bicep long head tendon that was half way torn through. I was in surgery for 3 hours and have 8 incision holes. I am going on 3 months post surgery. I had a piece of cartillage removed that was basically extra that my body had formed from birth and I had my shoulder bone ground down some also. I am going to be starting on rubber band exercises to get strength back in my shoulder cause I have absolutely none right now. I was told 9-12 months before I am recovered enough to hit the gym. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks
DGAF

When I had shoulder surgery a week after surgery I ran 10 days of Abombs to help my red blood cell count increase and it definately made a difference in the healing time

I only do 10 days because Abombs are really hard on my system but are good for kickstarting any cycle or rehab program

look into cjc1295 and hexaralin stacked also for healing
