It is and it isn't. Boxing is arguably the oldest of all sports, it goes back as far as 688 B.C. And like any other sport its popularity declines for a period of time and then makes a BIG COMEBACK!!!!!

Boxing is almost dead~ UFC is taking over and nowadays we dont have any good fighters like we used to. The quality of fighters of today are questionable, no more Sugar Ray, Haggler, Mike Tyson, etc etc...
