Heres the thing, a female friend of mine wants me to train her. The only problem is I've never trained a woman. I wouldnt even know where to begin. She's 30 and never lifted weights in her life. So this is going to be something new for her. We are going to do a 3 sessions/week @ 1hr per session. She has a treadmill at home so her cardio will be done on her "off" days. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Ms. W need your help!

Full body workouts for the first month. Go light in the beginning and slowly increase weight. That will probably cripple her as it is.
Also, what are her "special areas" ????? I would wager thighs and stomach, or thighs and rear. Either way, incorporate squats, lunges and deads. Use the bear 45lb bar and do NOT use a smith for the squats. Train her like a man accept lighter. The human body is not very different female to male.
Don't be shy and make sure you push her. Rather get told you pushed me to hard than you worked me out for 3 moths and I see no changes.
What are her goals ???
Are we looking at just toning or at some definition and added muscle ???

All she really wants to do is tone. She really wants to focus on her legs and arms. She has had 4 kids and still looks amazing, but then again I have never seen her in shorts and tank top. 5ft/110lbs

LOL relax..............just do a standard full body work out. If she is looking for toning that the best thing for her. As far as the legs make sure you do squats and lunges. I like squats M & F and lunges W. Over do it and she will be turned off. For arms switch it up each day of the week and dont repeat the same exercise in one given week.
I will see if I can get something for you.......... busy weekend.
