Ok here is what's wrong. Everytime I lift a dumb bell or even pick up anything thats atleast 5lbs I get a pain just below and just above the elbow. I've had this pain before, just below the elbow but never above the elbow and the pain never lasted for more then a week.
I've had this pain for alittle over 4 weeks now.
Any thoughts on what it could be?

U have tendinitis that involved the tendons of the elbow. There is no magical cure. Rest it and take some NSAIDs like Advil or Aleve. You could try and cortisone injection but cant guarantee that will work.
This is a very common thing with weight lifters and especially juicers. Sometimes the muscle out grow the tendons and can cause this.

Work the extensors of the forearms- the imbalance in strength (weak extensors vs strong flexors) usually is the culprit with tennis elbow, ice, and rest after that- I have had it on and off for years- the working of the extensors is key element to balancing out the forearms and regaining the proper balance- this is why gripping becomes painful.

good answers above....i agree with ruff neck you have a case of tendinitis ...Whcih really no cure for it once you get it...AJ gave you something to work on that could very well make it better........Or you can follow in my foot prints and go to your doctor and get a shot of depo medrol ....Which works wonders for sore joints..The injection hurts like a bitch considering they inject the stuff right into the probem spot but worth it once it all said and done....Its not a cure but it does mask the problem for a wile...dw

Ty all
My doctor confirm that it is tendinitis. I was told I could try a cortisone shot but most likely it will come back. I was told that there is a good chance it could make things worse with the shot and I would never know till it wears off in about 6 months. I'm hoping it goes away soon, because as of right now I'm working thru the pain. I've had the shot before and yes it was very painful but I was never told it could make things worse but I guess it makes sense. Any feed back on what I was told about the shot?

i get the same shots in 4 dif places...What yoyr doc means about geting worse is that the depo mask the problem which allows you to use that joint in full swing which is allready messed up to began with...You wont fel the pain untill the depo wears off...Ive been getting these shots for over a decade now and truthfully when the depo wears off the joints feel the same...Just realize the older u get the worst it gets..no matter if you get the shot or not...I say enjoy life now without pain because one day i might be able to lift and by that time i'll be dead...If you wwant my advice..Get the shot.lift pain free...dw
