Hey all,

about 2 weeks ago a began getting excruciating pain in may arms when doing any pressing, but especially heavy chest pressing, any tricep work, moderate pain when doing dumbbell curls, and even a little pain when doing heavy lateral raises...

this is very strange in that it doesn't feel like its pain in the muscle, rather its deep deep in my arms it feels like its in the bones... My joints don't hurt, the pain is limited to the upper and lower arms... both arms... the heavier I lift the more it hurts...

I'll give you an example how it feels when I'm doing chest pressing... sharp pain deep in the arms while doing the reps, then when I rack the bar and release my grip a huge wave of almost agonising pain deep in both arms for maybe 1 second then just a throbbing dull pain... If I try to push through most of the workout the throbbing dull pain remains for a good 6 hours or so...

I've backed off heavy chest and shoulder work alltogether and have concentrated more on leg and back work... the pain has improved some but not completely...

I went to my doctor and he literally had no idea except he suggested possible some kind of "microtears" are occuring where the muscle is being very very slightly ripped from the bone...??? this sounds rather extreme to me...

Does anybody have any idea about this please? I've been doing some research and talking to a few people but am coming up with nothing

Many thanks in advance

PIOTR
