Damn this is the second time i've posted in medical centre in like a month... not cool
I used to do heaps of hack squats but havn't for a few months, been concentrating more on squats... But have hit a bit of a sticking point in squats lately so yesterday decided to incorporate hack squats again...
Started on 440lb for 15 reps and by 5th set got up to 935lb for 4 reps... each rep going about parallel but on that last set stopped just before parallel for each rep because like I said havn't done hack squats for months so I was tentative... No obvious pain at this point but as I said knees feel REAL tight, obviously a lot of pressure on them...
Felt very tight in my knees every set but thats hack squats they always make my knees feel like that and it was never a problem... After last set I could feel something wasn't right so just did light leg press and left it at that... in hindsight I wish I had stopped altogether
When I got home knee feeling weird, beginning to get painful when I put much weight on it
When I woke up this morning feels like a nail is being driven through the top of my kneecap when I put weight on it... I can walk fine, no problem walking but if I squat a little on that leg there's really sharp pain under the kneecap... Also there's an area of the kneecap that feels tender to touch, if i put some decent pressure on it with my hand it hurts... nothing that bad but definitely sore... no bruising anywhere
Is this Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome, or runners knee? Have I cooked my knee? Gotta say I always like hack squats but now... shit... I used to do them almost every leg workout and never had a problem...
Starting popping ibuprofen this morning hopefully helps... Any advice would be greatly appreciated...

Ok I think this may have been a bit of a false alarm... The knee has responded exceptionally well to the ibuprofen, this morning when I got up it was literally half as bad... I think it should be OK

Good to hear your doing better. Give it plenty of rest though. I am scheduled for knee surgery next month. Seams I have a hole in my cartilage they want to try and fix.
