Anyone here been diagnosed with a bulging disc in their neck? It wont require surgery. Just some physical therapy and rehab. Doc said dont do exercises that load the axial.

Would love to hear from anyone that has been in the same boat.

In the spring of last year I had an MRI done on my neck. The MRI showed I had a buldging disk at C5-C6 and a ruptured disk at C6-C7. I used two Jump Stretch light bands hung from the top of a power rack (My rack has band pegs on top and bottom) to put traction on the disks. I'd put one band behind my head and one under my ching gripping both bands near my ears. Then I'd either step back or sit down on a low box to stretch my neck. I found that doing this helped my neck alot and I still do this periodically when ever my neck feels tight.

Therapy has been going well. I do manual traction some on myself if my neck is giving me fits. Working on my posture (I sit at a desk) has helped alot. Back training but using 40-50% of former working weight. Its depressing. Still have some shoulder issues. One step at a time I guess.

Qhams good luck with this as my wife had one of those discs taken out and replaced with a piece of her hip bone (which fused in her neck after a few months). THis is something that can get ugly fast so take care of it brotha!!

Good luck with the recovery. I had two bulging discs in the lower back last year and it took me 7 months to feel normal again. That being said traction and ice really helps. Im completely healed today.

Thanks for the support fellas.

My issue is I am also suffering from bicep tendonitis in the shoulder and either tendonitis in bicep or a tear around the lower portion of my bicep. On top of that my t levels are tanked. I get blood work back Monday and I did an intense PCT trying to bring it back up naturally. We shall see if it worked. I have a feeling it didnt by the way I feel and my inability to lean out even though my diet is pretty good and I am doing wts. 3Xweek and cardio 3Xweek.

I train like a "bitch" now. I have lost so much strength. Using 30-40s for presses (10-20 reps). Use to rep out 60s-70s for that same rep range.

No squats, no deadlifts, no muscle. angry.gif

PS - tried pullups today. Couldnt even do a freaking pullup without having a band assist me up.

Pray for me fellas. I am going to need it!!!

Take care and thanks again for the positive words.
