I have terrible teeth, thin enamel is what they called it years ago. I have had several caps over the years when I had dental insurance.
I no longer have dental insurance and I chipped 2 teeth and finally went to dentist and he told me I needed 5 caps. Cost $6500. He told me I could do 3 now and 2 in a few months and he went over the financing etc.
I couldnt spend that much on my teeth. They were not hurting.
I checked on Mexico and found a border town that has over a hundred dentists to take care of winter Texans, retired people who come to Rio Grande Valley during winter.
I checked several dentists out and emailed a few. Got several answers back and after looking at reviews I picked a dentist. Went to Valley on Sunday evening, had appt at 10am monday, he spent about 3 hours prepping all 5 teeth. I went back across the border and returned at 1pm on tue and he put all 5 caps in and I left about 3 pm. Total cost for everything was $600, $120 per cap. A buddy went with me and he had a root canal and 2 caps and his cost was $390 for all of it.
This place is safe and the town is only one street, full of dentists and faramcias. A couple of restaurants and maybe 4 stores.
I do not speak Spanish and was very comfortable and saved almost $6000. That was about 6 weeks ago and I am pleased with the way they look and feel.

Good to hear you saved a few bucks. I have a relative who gets her dental work done in Mexico and has for years and she has always had positive results.

The dentist I used was riodentaloffice.com
Google Progresso Mexico dentists and you will find hundreds but Rio is the one I used.
I called and set up an appt after I had emailed them and told them what I needed done and they gave me a price and that was what I paid.

The real question is: Did you get any "goodies" at the farmacias??

They had a lot of goodies but the prices were not that good but the farmacias were fully stocked, unlike when I went across the border a couple of years ago when they had nothing. the walk across the border with anything was not something i wanted to do.

Good Info.
I too have teeth problems also. Family passed it down to me, & too much licorice eating.
I get good deals here on the repair too. Costa Rica has lots of Dentist & repairs are cheap aswell.
Peace
