WOMEN AND ANTI-E'S
BY: IPL
I am always getting questions regarding anti-e's, as far as whats best to use, and if they effect a females hormone balance, or test levels, and estrogenic rebounding.
So let's take a deeper look at the subject at hand and hit some of the facts regarding this. As the hormone that regulates mood, menstrual cycles, fertility and, ultimately, affects bone integrity and tissue health, estrogen is an important part of the physiological make-up of women.
There is a great need for estrogen replacement so as to protect physiological function, including neurological function. Among the good effects are maintenance of beneficial levels of high-density-lipoprotein cholesterol, which protects against cardiovascular disease. In women, estrogen aids exercise recovery and is involved in muscle repair. Since estrogen is the main sex hormone in women, anything that interferes with estrogen metabolism can cause side effects. Inhibiting estrogen in women with Nolvadex can sometimes induce what we call "chemical menopause."
Whenever you start to manipulate hormones, you are causing a disturbance in the body's natural hormone base, period. There are ripple effects that will occur from this, depending on a few factors, the length of time they were taken, the dosage, the type hormone, and so on, as well as how sensitive the person is to them. You can usually ask a female if her menstrual cycle been effected in any way shape or form from any AAS or even Anti-E's? This is usually a slight indication that hormone's are fluctuating, and trying to balance themselves. Usually the longer and the strong the dose, the longer it will take a body to balance itself back out. Depending on what hormones where manipulated, for instance with thyroid hormones, it could take longer, and/or not balance itself back out, especially if not taken correctly or for too long of a period, but thats another subject all together~!
Ok as for estrogen rebounding, such a nasty, nasty animal in itself!! LOL When we start using things to combat the effects of estrogen, of the nature of Adex, letro, or Aromasin, these are compounds that should only be used by VERY experienced BBer's period. Thats a whole new ball game. It truly can effect a woman's body if not taken in a safe manner, in very small doses, for short lengths of time, 6 weeks, not bad, and 8 weeks is pushing it to the extremes.
There are conflicting arguments as far as Aromasin VS Adex and putting yourself at great risks for osteoporosis, & bone mineral density (BMD) lose which to me are 2 things every woman should be aware of, AT ANY age! Some say that Aromasin doesn't effect BMD, and can to some degrees help BMD, but the fact remains that estrogen depletion effects a females bones, period.
Now there are a few differences in the compounds, Aromasin is steroidal compound that is androgenic and Adex is a non-steroidal compound, but I'm not going into there make ups, it just gets to confusing! LOL But keep in mind that aromasin will raise test levels in females, and the adex does not. Make sense?
So if we look at it from a stand point of is Nolva better, worse, and which is more effective, again they all are effecting hormone levels, which if the female is cycling AAS already, which is better. I say stick with whats going to give the less risky sides (again I say this keeping in mind if the female is hard core, or a competitor, or if she's just looking to loose body Fat% two totally different scenarios) I"D GO WITH A LOW DOSE of nolva combined with proviron, if we are talking hard core, go with adex. Either way keep cycles short and to the point, none of these compounds should be used for long periods of time, its just not good for a female period.
Proviron strongly suppresses the forming of estrogens no rebound effect occurs after discontinuation of use of the compound. With Proviron you'll get more muscle hardness since the androgen level is increased and the estrogen concentration remains low. This, in particular, is noted positively during the preparation for a competition when used in combination with a diet. Female's who naturally have a higher estrogen level often supplement their steroid intake with Proviron resulting in an increased muscle hardness. It's common for bodybuilders to take a daily dose of one 25 mg tablet over several weeks, sometimes even months, in order to appear hard all year round.
When combining Proviron with Nolvadex this will lead to an almost complete suppression of estrogen. Women who want to give Proviron a try should not take more than one 25 mg tablet per day. Higher dosages and periods of intake of more than four weeks considerably increase the risk of virilization symptoms. Female's who have no difficulties with Proviron obtain good results with 25 mg Proviron/day and 20 mg Nolvadex/day and, in combination with a diet, report an accelerated fat breakdown and continuously harder muscles.
