Thursday, December 29: Upper/ Heavy

Since I have had a minor lower back injury (getting better) the past several days, I have had to modify my upper/lower split slightly. I wanted to test my ability to squat on Wednesday so I did several sets of Back Squats at 225 with sets of 15-20 reps. Everything went well, as the problem area only hurts when direct pressure is placed on it. I should be able to resume full leg work next week. The only caveat is that I will be traveling for work and I'm not sure what kind of setup the hotel has. I'm not optimistic.

Comments:
Like I said, this week is a little modified from my normal Mon/Thurs upper and Tues/Fri lower. On Friday I will be having a pull day. I used a new pre-wo supp for pumps that someone sent me to try: Gaspari Vasotropin. I did experience a notable increase in pump during the workout and will be using the next couple of workouts as well.
