I have problems with my knees as well, Spyder. Mine make the same noise as yours do. It is from scar tissue on your meniscus. I have started riding an execise bike after leg workouts and every other day. That has helped mine more than anything else I've done. I know it sounds simple and stupid, but sometimes those are the things that work best. Good luck!

hey bro ... more info is needed .. age? what kind of surgery did you have? I assume trauma or growth defect reconstruction. Maybe Osgood-Schlatter disease, a common childhood disease that causes pain in young athletes. I hope it wasn't ACL reconstruction at 10 yo .. thats unheard of .. you're growth plates are still growing and i don't know any surgeon to perform that operation.
Anyhow ... have you tried glucosamine or anti-inflammatories? Depending one the problem a neoprene brace or an unloader brace can be used. Sounds like you have good ROM (range of motion) so I wouldn't say scar tissue or ligament damage. Any patella pain? (knee cap)
Feel free to PM me .. be glad to help. You can check out this site .... good info ...

My knees do the same thing as soon as i get out of bed and squat down, also my anckles crack all the time too. I dont think there is a problem, I went to a doctor about my shin splints, and mentioned it to him, and he said no worries, and try some glucosimine

What type of work do you do? Sitting at a desk and keeping your knees bent for long periods of time can irratate the meniscus also anything that you have to keep constant pressure on something like drive a truck and pushing a gas peddle or clutch can do the same.
Are you taking any type of AS that might dry out the joints? Winstrol
If you had to have reconstructive surgery on one knee and that was the cause of this then you should only have this problem in that knee not both.
