Everything looked good with one exception:

LDL - 151
Test - 399

Is that ldl number dangerously high?
Other than good diet what can i take to help reduce the LDL.

Also, what do you guys think about my test levels. I am off cycle around 11 months now.

Gimme some feedback

RR, that number is realy not that high. Test reading could go as high as 1200.

Thats what i thought. The nurse said their range was 241-847. Anything in that range was "acceptable". She said if I spoke with the doc that she would probably put me on HRT but insurance would not pay for it!

I mean your LDL could look better, but its not all that bad. How was your ratio or HDL? My baseline is really low as in my LDL = 59 and my HDL = 58 with a total cholesterol of 124. For lowering your LDL, try a combination of things. Policosinol, Red Yeast Rice w/ Coq10, 6g Fish Oils, 30ml Flax Oil, Niacin (flush free) and Safflower Oil are all good for your cholesterol. If you take all of those along with a good diet, I don't see how its possible to NOT lower your LDL and raise your HDL. Don't forget about cardio and avoiding saturated fats. It's a bitch, but I promise your next visit to the clinic will be better.

The oils are great man, pretty inexpensive too. Niacin can be had at Wal-mart as well if your interested in that. Your T levels aren't all that bad, 400 isn't too bad. If your looking for quality testosterone raising supplementation I would give Ultra HOT by ALRI a shot and would stack it with AcTivate from Designer Supplements. The Ultra HOT shows alot of promise while on cycle, PCT and off cycle for T levels and AcTivate is strictly designed to "make use" of your free T levels. Here are some reading material if you or anyone else is interested. Mind you, fucking with your estrogen levels will most likely have an impact on your HDL/LDL levels so you might just want to get that under control before you try anything w/ the T.

Based on your LDL, trig's, and total chol, along with your age, you need to get that in check. 234 is higher than you would want it to be. LDL is definatly higher than you want it to be as are your Tri-g's. Your HDL is good but over 60 is better, and Niacin is the product you need that will reduce Tri-g's the best as well as raising your HDL. If you want to save money, buy regular niacin instead of flush free niacin (much cheaper) and take 1 81 mg aspirin with/before your Niacin to keep from getting flushed (everyone over 40 or at risk for cardiovascular disease needs to take 1 aspirin daily anyways). Grassroots gave great recommendations on other natural methods of lowering your cholesterol levels. Policosanol has been shown to work as good if not better in some studies than the statin drugs (Lipitor, Crestor, Pravachol, Zocor...etc..). I would try naturally by diet, cardio and herbal treatments at lowering your cholesterol before I would go the Rx route. If you are strict, you can and WILL lower your cholesterol. My advice would be to add Niacin, Garlic, and Policosanol to what you are currently taking. It is not that expensive at all, and its for your health which is priceless so don't be afraid to get what you need. Good luck.
